ജയ ജയിച്ചു; യുവതി നാക്കുമുറിച്ചു സമര്പ്പിച്ചു
തേനിയില്നിന്ന് ഏഴുകിലോമീറ്റര് അകലെയുള്ള ശ്രീ വീരപാണ്ഡ്യന് ഗൗരിയമ്മന് ക്ഷേത്രത്തില് നേര്ച്ച പൂര്ത്തീകരിക്കാനായാണു രാമനാഥപുരം സ്വദേശിനിയായ സംഗീത(27) സ്വന്തം നാവു മുറിച്ചത്.
ജയലളിത നയിക്കുന്ന എഐഡിഎംകെ. അധികാരത്തിലേറിയാല് നാവു മുറിച്ചു ദേവിക്കു സമര്പ്പിക്കാമെന്നായിരുന്നു സംഗീതയുടെ നേര്ച്ച. സംഗീതയെ ഉടന് ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്തിച്ചു. മുറിച്ചുമാറ്റപ്പെട്ട നാവ് തുന്നിച്ചേര്ക്കാനാകുമെന്നു ഡോക്ടര്മാര് അറിയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

Theni (TN),May 13 (PTI) Overjoyed by the astounding performance of AIADMK which is set to win over 190 seats in the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly, an ardent fan of Jayalalithaa today cut off her tongue to fulfill a religious vow at a temple near here, police said. Devotees at Sri Veerapandi Goumariamman temple, 7 km from here, were shocked when Sangeetha (27), who had vowed to cut off her tongue if the Jayalalithaa-led AIADMK was voted to power, severed it with a knife, police said. Sangeetha, hailing from Ramanathapuram, was rushed to hospital and doctors said they were confident of suturing back the severed tongue.
