ദില്ലി: കോമണ്വെല്ത്ത് അഴിമതി നടത്തിയതിന്റെ പേരില് ജയിലില് കഴിയുന്ന സുരേഷ് കല്മാഡി തനിയ്ക്ക് കോടതിയില് പോകാന് പ്രത്യേക വാഹനം വേണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. മറ്റു വിചാരണ തടവുകാര് തങ്ങളെ ആക്രമിയ്ക്കുമോ എന്നു ഭയമുള്ളതിനാലാണ് ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരാവശ്യം ഉന്നയിക്കുന്നതെന്നാണ് സുരേഷ് കല്മാഡി കോടതിയെ അറിയിച്ചത്.
നിലവില് 2ജി അഴിമതി ആരോപണത്തില് പെട്ട് ജയിലില് കഴിയുന്നവരെയെല്ലാം പ്രത്യേക വാഹനത്തിലാണ് കോടതിയില് കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നത്. വിഐപി വിചാരണ തടവുകാരുടെ സുരക്ഷ ഉറപ്പു വരുത്തുന്നതിനായാണിത്.
തനിക്ക് വൈദ്യ പരിശോധന വേണമെന്നും കല്മാഡി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. കല്മാഡിയ്ക്കു പുറമേ കോമണ്വെല്ത്ത് കമ്മിറ്റിയുടെ മുന് ഡയറക്ടര് ജനറല് വികെ വെര്മ്മ, സെക്രട്ടറി ജനറല് ലളിത് ഭാനോട്ട് തുടങ്ങിയവരും പ്രത്യേക വാന് വേണമെന്നാവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.
