ആള്‍മാറാട്ടം: ഇന്ത്യക്കാരന്‌ ആസ്‌ത്രേലിയയില്‍ തടവ്

മെല്‍ബണ്‍: ആസ്‌ത്രേലിയന്‍ എമിഗ്രേഷന്‍ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥനെന്ന് തെറ്റിദ്ധരിപ്പിച്ച് ഇന്ത്യക്കാരിയില്‍ നിന്ന് പണം തട്ടിയെടുത്ത പഞ്ചാബുകാരന് രണ്ടു വര്‍ഷം തടവ്. ജസ്ബിര്‍ സിങ്ങിന്(30) ആണ് ഇരുപത്തിരണ്ടുകാരിയെ ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തി 2300 ഡോളര്‍(109250.23 രൂപ)തട്ടിയെടുത്തതിന് ശിക്ഷ ലഭിച്ചത്.

ജോലി ശരിയാക്കി തരാമെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാണ് ജസ്ബിര്‍ യുവതിയെ സമീപിച്ചത്. പിന്നീട് പണം തന്നില്ലെങ്കില്‍ യുവതിയേയും ഭര്‍ത്താവിനേയും കുടുക്കുമെന്ന് ഇയാള്‍ ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തി. ആസ്‌ത്രേലിയയില്‍ നിന്ന് നാടുകടത്തുമെന്ന് ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തിയാണ് ജസ്ബിര്‍ യുവതിയില്‍ നിന്ന് പണം തട്ടിയെടുത്തത്. 2009 ലായിരുന്നു സംഭവം.
