ചെന്നൈ: കേരള ഗവര്ണര് എം ഒ എച്ച് ഫാറൂഖ്(75) അന്തരിച്ചു. ചെന്നൈ അപ്പോളോ ആശൂപത്രിയില് വെച്ച് രാത്രി 9.10 ഓടെയായിരുന്നു അന്ത്യം. വൃക്കസംബന്ധമായ അസുഖത്തെ തുടര്ന്ന് കുറച്ചുദിവസങ്ങളായി ചികിത്സയിലായിരുന്നു.
കഴിഞ്ഞ ആഗസ്തിലാണ് കേരള ഗവര്ണറായി നിയമിതനായത്. സര്ക്കാര് ഓഫിസുകള്ക്കും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്ക്കും വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച അവധിയായിരിക്കും. സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഏഴുദിവസത്തെ ദുഃഖാചരണം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
ജാര്ഖണ്ഡിലെ ഗവര്ണറായും രണ്ടു തവണ കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രിസഭാംഗമായും മൂന്നു തവണ പോണ്ടിച്ചേരി മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയായും സൗദിയിലെ ഇന്ത്യന് അംബാസിഡറായും സേവനമനുഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. പോണ്ടിച്ചേരി കാരക്കല് സ്വദേശിയായ ഇദ്ദേഹം മൂന്നു തവണ ലോകസഭാംഗമായിരുന്നു.
Kerala Governor MOH Farook died during treatment at a Chennai hospital on Thursday, family sources said.Farook had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai for the past few days.
