ശ്രീഹരിക്കോട്ട: രണ്ടാം ചാന്ദ്ര ദൗത്യത്തിലേക്ക് വിജയക്കുതിപ്പുമായി ചന്ദ്രയാന് 2 ശ്രീഹരിക്കോട്ടയിലെ സതീഷ് ധവാന് സ്പേസ് സെന്ററില് നിന്ന് വിക്ഷേപിച്ചു. കൃത്യം 2.43നാണ് രണ്ടാം വിക്ഷേപണത്തറയില് നിന്ന് 3,84,000 കിലോ മീറ്റര് ദൂരത്തുളള ചന്ദ്രനിലേക്ക് ചന്ദ്രയാന് 2 വിജയകരമായി കുതിച്ചുയര്ന്നത്. രാജ്യത്തിനിത് അഭിമാന നിമിഷമാണിത്.
ജൂലൈ 15ന് ആയിരുന്നു ചാന്ദ്രയാന് 2ന്റെ വിക്ഷേപണം ആദ്യം നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരുന്നത്. എന്നാല് സാങ്കേതിക പ്രശ്നങ്ങള് കാരണം വിക്ഷേപണം മാറ്റി 22ലേക്ക് വെക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. വിക്ഷേപണത്തിന് 56 മിനുറ്റും 24 സെക്കന്റും മാത്രം ബാക്കി നില്ക്കേയായിരുന്നു തീരുമാനം. ചന്ദ്രയാൻ 2 വിജയകരമായി വിക്ഷേപിച്ചതോടെ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ബഹിരാകാശ ചരിത്ര നേട്ടങ്ങളുടെ കീരിടത്തിൽ ഐഎസ്ആര്ഒ ഒരു പൊന്തൂവല് കൂടി ചേര്ത്തിരിക്കുകയാണ്.
