മുംബൈ: വീട്ടുവേലക്കാരിയായ പെണ്കുട്ടിയെ മാനഭംഗപ്പെടുത്തിയ കേസില് ഏഴുവര്ഷം കഠിന തടവിനു ശിക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ട ബോളിവുഡ് നടന് ഷൈനി അഹൂജ അതിവേഗകോടതിയുടെ വിധിക്കെതിരേ ഹൈക്കോടതിയില് അപ്പീല് നല്കി.
തന്നെ അവഹേളിക്കാനാണ് കേസ് കെട്ടിച്ചമച്ചതെന്നും വെറുതേവിടണമെന്നും ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടാണ് ഷൈനി ബോംബെ ഹൈക്കോടതിയില് അപ്പീല് നല്കിയത്. കേസില് 27 മുതല് വാദം കേള്ക്കും.
മാനഭംഗക്കേസില് 2009 ജൂണ് 15നാണ് അഹൂജ അറസ്റ്റിലായത്. വൈദ്യപരിശോധനയില് പീഡനം നടന്നതായി തെളിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. വിചാരണയ്ക്കിടെപെണ്കുട്ടി പീഡനം നടന്നിട്ടില്ലെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞെങ്കിലും വാദം കോടതി തള്ളിയിരുന്നു.
Actor Shiney Ahuja on Tuesday moved the Mumbai High Court challenging his final judgment on the rape of his maid in June 2009. A Mumbai session court on March 30 sentenced the actor to seven years in jail after finding him guilty of raping his maid servant.
