വാഷിങ്ടണ്: മുംബൈ ഭീകരാക്രമണത്തില് നിര്ണയക പങ്കുവഹിച്ച പാക് ഭീകരന് ഇല്യാസ് കശ്മീരിയുടെ തലയ്ക്ക് യുഎസ് സര്ക്കാര് 50 ലക്ഷം(ഏകദേശം 22 കോടിയോളം രൂപ) ഡോളര് ഇനാം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. 2006 മാര്ച്ച് 2നുണ്ടായ കറാച്ചിയിലെ യുഎസ് കോണ്സുലേറ്റ് ആക്രമണത്തിലെ മുഖ്യ സൂത്രധാരകനാണു മുഹമ്മദ് ഇലിയാസ്. ആക്രമണത്തില് യുഎസ് നയതന്ത്രജ്ഞന് ഡേവിഡ് ഫോയ് ഉള്പ്പെടെ നാലു പേര് കൊല്ലപ്പെടുകയും 48 പേര്ക്കു പരുക്കേല്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.
2001 മുതല് ഇന്ത്യയിലും പാകിസതാനിലും ഒട്ടേറെ ഭീകരാക്രമണങ്ങള് നടത്തിയ ഹുജി എന്ന ഭീകരസംഘടനയുടെ കമാന്ഡറാണ് ഇല്യാസ്. ലഷ്കര് ഇ തൊയ്ബയുമായി അടുത്തബന്ധം പുലര്ത്തുന്ന ഹുജി ഭീകരസംഘടനയുടെ നിയന്ത്രണം കശ്മീരിയ്ക്കാണ്. യുഎസിന്റെ ആഗോള ഭീകരസംഘടന ലിസ്റ്റില് ഉള്പ്പെടുന്ന സംഘടനയാണിത്
ഡേവിഡ് ഹെഡ്ലിയും തഹാവൂര് റാണയുമായും ഇല്യാസ് അടുത്ത ബന്ധം പുലര്ത്തുന്നതായി എഫ്ബിഐയ്ക്ക് വിവരം ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നു. മുഹമ്മദ് ഇല്യാസ് കശ്മീരി, ഇല്യാസ് അല് കശ്മീരി, ഇല്യാസ്, നയീബ് അമീര് തുടങ്ങി നിരവധിപ്പേരുകളില് അറിപ്പെടുന്ന ഇയാള് 1964ല് പാക് അധിനിവേശ കശ്മീരിലാണ് ജനിച്ചത്.
