ഓരോ മിനിറ്റിലും പ്രദേശങ്ങളെ വെള്ളം വിഴുങ്ങുകയാണ്. സുരക്ഷിതര് എന്ന് സമാധാനിച്ചവര് പോലും അടുത്ത നിമിഷം കഴുത്തറ്റം വെള്ളത്തില് മുങ്ങി ദുരന്തപെയ്ത്തില് നിസ്സഹായരാവുകയാണ്. ദുരിതാശ്വാസ കാമ്പുകളിലേക്ക് നീങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നവര് പലരും ആകുലതപെടുന്നത് എല്ലാ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടെന്നാണ്. എന്നാല് ഇത്തരം സാഹചര്യങ്ങളില് അടിയന്തരമായി കൈയ്യില് കരുതേണ്ടത് എന്തൊക്കെയാണ്.. അറിയാം-
Prepare an emergency kit with the following items
ഈ കിറ്റില് ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ട വസ്തുക്കള്:
- ടോര്ച്ച് (Torch)
- റേഡിയോ (Radio)
- 500 ml വെള്ളം (500 ml water)
- ORS ഒരു പാക്കറ്റ് (one packet of ORS)
- അത്യാവശ്യം വേണ്ടുന്ന മരുന്ന് (Necessary medicine)
- മുറിവിന് പുരട്ടാവുന്ന മരുന്ന് (Antiseptic Ointment)
- ഒരു ചെറിയ കുപ്പി ആന്റി സെപ്ടിക് ലോഷന് (One small bottle detol, savlon etc)
- 100 ഗ്രാം കപ്പലണ്ടി (100 grms of Groundnuts)
- 100 ഗ്രാം ഉണക്ക മുന്തിരി അല്ലെങ്കില് ഈന്തപ്പഴം (100 grms of dried grapes or dates)
- ചെറിയ ഒരു കത്തി (a knife)
- 10 ക്ലോറിന് ടാബ്ലെറ്റ് (10 chlorine tablets for purifying water)
- ഒരു ബാറ്ററി ബാങ്ക് അല്ലെങ്കില് ടോര്ച്ചില് ഇടാവുന്ന ബാറ്ററി (one battery bank or necessary batteries to power the torch)
- ബാറ്ററിയും, കാള് പ്ലാനും ചാര്ജ് ചെയ്ത ഒരു സാധാരണ മൊബൈല് ഫോണ് (fully charged simple feature mobile phone with call balance)
- അത്യാവശ്യം കുറച്ച് പണം (Necessary money)
പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട രേഖകൾ സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റുകൾ, ആഭരണങ്ങൾ പോലെ വിലപിടിപ്പുള്ള സാധനങ്ങൾ തുടങ്ങിയവ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് ബാഗുകളിൽ എളുപ്പം എടുക്കാൻ പറ്റുന്ന ഉയര്ന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു വീട്ടിൽ സൂക്ഷിക്കുക.
Ensure that all certificates and valuable jewellery are packed in plastic containers or bags and stored at a height
ഔദ്യോഗികമായി ലഭിക്കുന്ന വിവരങ്ങളെല്ലാം വീട്ടിൽ എല്ലാവരോടും പറയുക. അടിയന്തിര സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾ പുറത്താണെങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങളെ കാത്തുനിൽക്കേണ്ടതില്ല എന്ന് വീട്ടിലുള്ളവർക്ക് നിര്ദേശം നല്കുക.
Communicate all information that you receive from official sources to every one in the house. If you are not in the house, the family should be advised to listen to official directives and move to safe locations without waiting for you.

4. Calicut കോഴിക്കോട് MW (AM Channel): 684 kHz
ആവശ്യമാണെങ്കില് ഓരോ വില്ലേജിലെയും ആളുകൾക്ക് സുരക്ഷിതമായ സ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ അതാതു പ്രാദേശിക ഭരണകൂടങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളെ അറിയിക്കും. അവിടേക്ക് എത്രയും പെട്ടെന്ന് സ്വമേധയാ മാറാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുക. സഹായങ്ങൾ വേണ്ടവർ അധികൃതരുമായി മടിയൊന്നും കൂടാതെ ബന്ധപ്പെടുക.
